“That is one of the tricks of opportunity. It has a sly habit of slipping in by the back door, and often it comes disguised in the form of misfortune, or temporary defeat. This is why so many fail to recognize opportunity” – Napoleon Hill
It reminds me the story of two friends of mine. They used to work with me in the same company in different countries and years. They both had a good career in our company and after some years of good job, changes in the company caused the unexpected. One was fired, and the second was forced to quit and they had to start again in other companies. At that time it looked like a total misfortune, almost a tragedy, good and stable careers gone…but after 2 or 3 three years both of them, I said both of them, became vice president in their new companies. They saw opportunities from the misfortune and they worked hard to overcome the temporary problems and triumph in the end.
We should not be so scared about misfortune. Opportunities can be in the other side of the door…
Do you know any case of temporary misfortune that finished in a big opportunity?
Please share it with us.
My thoughts, now is your turn. What do you think?
